No matter the time or how many times this attack has been produced, the real Phantom Ganon is always in the same place.Īfter entering the correct door six times from the entrance, Link will reach a final room which looks slightly different. The only way to tell which one is the real one is to know that the real one is always directly Link. Finally, Phantom Ganon has one last attack where Link will be encircled by a few different Phantom Ganons. If it does hit Phantom Ganon it will instantly cause him to fall to the ground, unlike the blue orb which takes a little bit of tennis. If Link times a spin attack just right he can reflect it back to him like the blue orb, in a game of Dead Man's Volley. This is a copy of one of Ganondorf's attacks from Ocarina of Time. He will also charge up a pink orb and release it at Link. The first is a blue orb attack, which is a leftover from the first fight back in the Forsaken Fortress. Phantom Ganon possesses three attacks during this exploration. Phantom Ganon and Link playing a game of tennis

After three cycles, Phantom Ganon will be defeated and leave Link alone for now. This is Link's chance to simply attack him with the sword, or quickly target him and use a parry attack. A few seconds will before he attempts to use a spin attack on Link. Randomly, Phantom Ganon will also appear directly behind Link as an alternative attack method. Link can then rush in and attack him with the sword before Phantom Ganon disappears. After Phantom Ganon misses and is hit by the ball he will fall to ground. As Link and Phantom Ganon hit the ball back and forth the speed of the ball will rapidly increase, so be careful that Link is not the one who ends up getting hit. This is a classic game of "tennis", the likes of which have also appeared in Ocarina of Time and Four Swords Adventures. Link can hit the ball back with the sword, and Phantom Ganon will answer with a hit of his own. He will create a ball of light, and then toss it in Link's direction. Then turn around, and open the door to get into the room with the boss key.To begin the battle, Phantom Ganon will fly high into the air a good distance away from Link. Now Roll Clip through the door frame, Leaf around to the back of the door behind the song stone and land on the sliver of ground behind the stone.

If Link jumps to the right of the door frame, you were aiming too far right. If Link jumps under the door frame, you were aiming too far left. This will make Link Item Slide perfectly straight forward and get a jump out of it to grab the door frame. Then when you have enough speed, use home buffering to hold forward on the control stick, ZL, and B all on the same frame.

Using this angle, start an Item Slide back against the corner made by the song stone and the adjacent wall. To start, face the right side column of the door to the south of the song stone blocking the way to the boss key. However grabbing the very right or left edge is about as consistent as grabbing any other ledge in the game. Simply peforming wind waker pulls to enter the island early from the SD was patched.Īnother way to skip the iron boots is to use the early warp pot technique, and go through the rooms backward to access the Song Stone Room from the other door Early Boss Key Currentįor the most part, attempting to grab Wind Temple door frames is rather inconsistent. Once again, use a hammer jumpslash to break the statue once you're close enough. With a hammer jumpslash you can then break the statue without Iron Boots.Īlternatively, you can enter the island without the Iron Boots without glitches by playing the Song of Passing repeatedly to have wind immunity. Thanks to your speed, you will be going against the strong wind. To enter Gale Isle without Iron Boots, you can perform an item slide and make Link run forward by holding up on the control stick before pulling out the Skull Hammer. See here for more info.īecause beating the Wind Temple requires Iron Boots to get past the tall room in the basement with an iron boots switch on top, this is only useful for routing purposes. Note: Learning the Wind God's Aria before beating the Forsaken Fortress 2 will crash the game due to wrong animation sets.
